Frankston Hospital: upgrade
08-April-2011
Last Friday, 1 April, I attended the official opening of stage 2A of the Frankston Hospital, conducted by the Honourable David Davis, the Minister for Health. This was a $45 million project, and it included the expansion and upgrade of surgical services and the intensive care unit. Frankston Hospital is the major hospital servicing my electorate, and I am confident that this upgrade will further improve health-care services there. I commend Peninsula Health for the services it provides and trust that this new development will assist in improving health services throughout my community. With the other guests in attendance at the opening, I was given a tour of the new ward and was impressed by the significant improvements in technology and initiatives for patient wellbeing.
