Australian Trust For Conservation Volunteers

Conservation at Warringine Park: The project will remove litter, debris and noxious weeds from wetland and park areas through the engagement of the wider community. This will increase native flora and fauna biodiversity, as well as encourage the community's connection to the natural environment within Warringine Park.

AWARE, Australian Wildlife Assistance Rescue & Education Inc

Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Project: The project will provide wildlife rescue, care and rehabilitation services to the community. This will improve the health of native wildlife, support their recovery and increase community awareness within the Frankston and surrounding area.

Cannons Creek Foreshore Reserve Committee of Management Inc

Foreshore Habitat Reclamation: The project will protect the foreshore from erosion by constructing an 80-metre stone wall. This will protect the foreshore and improve habitat for the wide range of species within the wetland area of Cannon Creek.

Cannons Creek Residents’ Association Inc

Bonnie Watson Reserve Revitalisation: The project will install bird nesting boxes and reduce the impact of invasive weeds. This will protect native nesting birds and manage threats to the natural environment within the habitat.

Crib Point Stony Point Foreshore Committee of Management Inc

Raising Awareness of Crib Point Foreshore: The project will undertake targeted invasive weed removal by contractors and volunteers, monitor the results for future projects and highlight the native flora and fauna species in the foreshore reserve. This will enhance the health and integrity of native plant species within the habitat and encourage community awareness of the value of the reserve environment.

French Island Landcare Group Inc

Weed Control and Biodiversity Link Expansion: The project will remove weeds and revegetate with local native plant species and will erect fencing to control access to sensitive sites. This will increase protection of remnant vegetation and create links to other habitats and food sources to support a koala population within French Island.

Friends of Tooradin Foreshore Incorporated      

Reducing Erosion to Downstream Banks: The project will place large natural igneous rocks along the estuary bank allowing existing mangrove roots to grow between them. This will create a root structure system that will minimise erosion enabling and encouraging the mangroves to grow within the inner estuary of the foreshore.

Surveying Tooradin Inlet: The project will conduct a flora and fauna survey for terrestrial and aquatic species supported by educational activities. This will increase community knowledge and assist in environment restoration within the Coastal Reserve.

Creation of a Suitable Habitat for Native Species: The project will include revegetation with native plants, the removal of invasive weeds and pest management. This will establish a habitat for the endangered Southern Brown Bandicoot and Growling Grass Frog within the community.

Protecting Western Port's Migratory Waders: The project will monitor migratory shorebirds and their habitats, supported by community engagement events. This will provide data to establish bird behaviour patterns within the local habitat.

Protective Aviary Construction for Orange-Bellied Parrots: The project will construct an aviary to shelter, train, and monitor captive-bred Orange-Bellied Parrots. This will the increase survival of the affected population.

Westernport Bay Marine Pest Monitoring and Community Education Project: The project will monitor and survey Westernport Bay for evidence of invasive marine pest species and undertake local community education events. This will assist protecting critical marine life ecosystems of seagrass meadows and rare silver mangrove and promote and increase carbon sequestration in the environment and education within the local community.

Restoring the Levy Bank: The project will involve weed control, revegetation of native plants, trail construction and management of the rabbit population. This will improve the biosphere of the levy and reduce threats to native fauna within the area.
